How it works

Four steps. You confirm every one — nothing about your medication record is guessed or auto-saved.

01 · Scan

Point your camera at your medication or prescription label. On the default build, scanning runs on-device using Apple Vision — the image isn’t sent anywhere to be read.

02 · Review

pepcil shows you exactly what it recognised in the label — drug name, concentration, strength, expiry — and how confident it is in each field. Low-confidence fields are flagged, not guessed at.

03 · Confirm

Nothing from a scan is saved automatically. You check each field against your own label before it becomes part of your record. If something looks wrong, you correct it or leave it blank.

04 · Log

Your shot is recorded using only the values you confirmed. Any dose math pepcil shows is presented as based on the values you entered — never as an instruction to inject or a determination that a dose is correct.

pepcil is a record-keeping and reminder tool. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, prescribing, or dose determination. Read the full Safety & Medical Disclaimer.
